Teen driver accused in deadly Hollywood crash appears in bond court

HOLLYWOOD, Fla. – A 19-year-old man accused of causing a fiery crash that killed a man on Mother’s Day in Hollywood faced a judge Saturday after being arrested on vehicular homicide and reckless driving charges.

A Broward County judge found probable cause for the charges against Gerson Alette Jr., of North Miami Beach, and set his total bond at $85,000.

Alette is also required to remain in Broward County during the case, surrender his passport, and be placed on Level 1 GPS electronic monitoring. He was ordered not to drive…
