A victim, found suffering from a gunshot wound, was transported by paramedics to Broward Health, NBC Miami reported. Witnesses recount a heated exchange between two men, allegedly over money matters, that escalated seconds before shots rang out.
Operating down the street from the incident, Essie Reed, a figure known as “Big Mama” in the community for her philanthropic work, expressed her deep concern. While fighting back the disturbance the shooting made in the neighborhood she holds dear, “The shooting down on Mama’s Street? That bothers me. I don’t rest,” Reed told NBC Miami.
