Drink thrown, shots fired: Teen arrested after deadly West Palm Beach parking lot shooting

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — A tense encounter in West Palm Beach turned deadly on Monday evening when an 18-year-old allegedly shot and killed a man following a confrontation that began with a thrown drink.

The West Palm Beach Police Department (WPBPD) reported that they received a ShotSpotter alert at 6:25 p.m. at 709 North Tamarind Avenue.

When officers arrived at the scene, they reported finding a man lying in a parking lot with gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to St. Mary’s Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries, per WPBPD…
