The National Weather Service is warning of heavy rainfall over South Florida beginning later today and extending through Tuesday, with the heaviest downpours expected Monday night.
In a briefing issued early this morning, the Weather Service said the rain is associated with a tropical system developing over the Gulf. Rainfall of between 2 to 4 inches is predicted over South Florida through Tuesday, July 15, the agency said.
