Sunrise Police have disclosed the content of frantic 911 calls stemming from a double stabbing incident that left a 27-year-old woman dead and another victim severely wounded. The stabbings occurred at The Retreat at Sawgrass Village in May, with Jackson Sagesse, 21, identified as the assailant. In a chilling recording, the surviving victim is heard saying, “Someone just stabbed me. He stabbed me in my neck. He got it pretty good.” While he professed to the 911 operator that his friend might have been killed as she was in her car during the attack, as reported by WSVN.
A closer examination of the incident by NBC6 brought to light new 911 tapes where the male victim detailed encountering Sagesse covered in blood emerging from the restroom, the suspect then stabbing him in the throat, he exclaimed “He might have killed my friend bro, she was in the car when I went to the bathroom,” and despite the severity of his injuries, he conveyed a desperate optimism stating, “I came out of the bathroom bro, I’m like ‘yo…why you got blood all over you bro?’ And then he f—ing stabbed me in the neck. I know I’m not gonna die cause I would’ve dropped already, you feel me? But I’m leaking.” Authorities later apprehended Sagesse at his residence in the complex, finding him with the weapon believed to be used in the assault.
The surveillance video revealed Hailey Hosford’s struggle to close her vehicle’s door when Sagesse forcibly opened it and attacked her. Court documents uncovered by NBC6 showed that Sagesse confessed to stabbing Hosford approximately 10 times and that he had approached an officer post-crime to state, “I just killed someone and walked away.” Furthermore, despite claiming self-defense, police argue the video footage offers no evidence to support such a claim…
