A tragic incident on Southern Blvd. in West Palm Beach claimed the life of a 23-year-old Boynton Beach man last Friday night. CBS12 reported that at approximately 10:45 p.m., Mikel Mouaddeb was fatally hit by a Nissan Frontier pickup truck as he crossed the street.
According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, the truck was traveling eastbound on Southern Blvd., shifting from the right lane to the turn lane to head south on Kirk Road when Mouaddeb entered its path; the driver attempted to veer left to avoid the collision but tragically couldn’t prevent the impact which led to Mouaddeb’s death at the scene. Following the incident, the uninjured driver of the pickup stopped, immediately calling 911 to report the dire event that unfolded before their eyes, as stated by the PBSO crash report.
