U.S. citizen detained by border patrol in Florida won’t face obstruction charges, state attorney says

PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) — An 18-year-old U.S. citizen who was detained by border patrol in May will not face obstruction charges, the state attorney said on Tuesday.

Kenny Laynez-Ambrosio was detained when Florida Highway Patrol and Border Patrol officers pulled over the landscaping truck he and a few other men were in and began pulling them out of the vehicle.

The Palm Beach Post reported that Laynez-Ambrosio was on his way to a landscaping job with coworkers when the stop occurred. Some of the men he was with did not have legal status and were taken to the Krome Detention Center in Miami…
