Broward public school parent survey reveals concerns for district

As Broward County Public Schools heads into the new school year, enrollment will be down.

The district is expecting a drop of more than 8,000 students from last year. The superintendent says a variety of factors are at play.

“You have choice, you have affordability, you also have the new introduction of vouchers for some people probably educating their kids at home, so it’s not just about leaving the system to go somewhere else, sometimes it’s about people picking up and leaving the area, also,” said Dr. Howard Hepburn in an interview this afternoon…
