Dash cam footage leads to murder charges in West Palm Beach deadly shooting

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — A victim’s dash cam recorded the lead-up to a deadly West Palm Beach shooting, linking a Loxahatchee man to the crime through matching shell casings.

Just before 4 a.m. on Sunday, June 15, the West Palm Beach Police Department (WPBPD) responded to the 1200 block of Old Okeechobee Road after a 911 call reported a man passed out inside his car.

Upon arrival, officers discovered 30-year-old Jared Auer in the driver’s seat with a gunshot wound to the head. He was transported to St. Mary’s Medical Center, where he later succumbed to his injuries…
