Fort Lauderdale wants to use $350,000 in funds set aside for the 2026 World Cup for homeless initiatives in the city, officials said.
In an Aug. 13 memorandum, Fort Lauderdale City Manager Rickelle Williams recommended reallocating the FIFA World Cup funds to support one-time homelessness initiatives.
