Two South Florida counties warned of 50 mph thunderstorm winds knocking down trees

The National Weather Service issued a weather alert to two counties in Florida warning of debris from strong storm winds

A weather alert was issued by the National Weather Service for strong thunderstorms with up to 50 mph winds until 3 p.m. for Metro Palm Beach County and Coastal Palm Beach County in Florida.

“At 2:30 p.m., National Weather Service meteorologists were tracking a strong thunderstorm over Atlantis, or over Lake Worth. This storm was nearly stationary,” the NWS said. “Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects.”…
