FBI tip to Brevard investigators leads to arrest of man who threatened ‘blood bath’

A 39-year-old man who posted threats to social media about killing Palm Beach law enforcement officers in a “blood bath” was arrested, according to Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivey.

Gabriel Serrano was charged with written or electronic threat to kill or cause bodily harm to another and resisting an officer without violence after FBI agents contacted the sheriff’s office about the threats posted on Facebook, records show.

In an Aug. 27 post on the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office’s official Facebook page, Ivey said federal investigators learned of the threat on Aug. 26 and tracked the name on the social media account to Serrano. From there, Ivey said, Brevard investigators partnered with the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office to find Serrano.
