Burrito Bowls Coming to Boca Raton This October

BOCA RATON, FL – Barrio Burrito Bar will launch its first South Florida restaurant at 20449 FL-7, Boca Raton, FL 33498, the first week of October, according to franchisee co-owner Pranav Vankawala, who spoke with Business Debut.

Barrio Burrito Bar will be a fast-casual Tex-Mex restaurant with both takeout and dine-in options. The restaurant will have around 12 inside seats and an outdoor patio area for up to 24 customers. Once open, the restaurant intends to serve diners seven days a week from 11 a.m. – 9 p.m. Hours may vary based on consumer demand.

A Tex-Mex Menu Concept with a Twist

As a Tex-Mex restaurant, the menu includes burrito bowls, burritos, chips, guacamole, and a wide selection of sauces and salsas boasting more variety than similar chains. “What interested us is that I’m pretty sure everybody’s familiar with Chipotle,” Vankawala noted. “This brand is very close to that, with even more offerings of different kinds of sauce and salsa. More variety than what people can get at Chipotle.”

A New Venture with Industry Experience

Though this is Vankawala’s first location with Barrio Burrito Bar, he is no stranger to the restaurant business. He is currently a franchisee of two Little Caesars Pizza locations and six Carvel Ice Cream shops in West Palm Beach.

“We liked the concept. We liked the product. We liked the food,” Vankawala said. “So we got into this brand, and that’s how we started looking into it. And then finally, we are opening our first location here in Boca Raton.”…
