Palm Beach County, FL – Fraud Alert: Suspects Swap Debit Cards at Wells Fargo

Royal Palm Beach, FL – Deputies are asking the public for help identifying suspects accused of using a deceptive debit card scheme in Palm Beach County earlier this month.

According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, the suspects allegedly used a “sleight of hand” trick to swap a victim’s debit card on September 4 at a Wells Fargo branch in Royal Palm Beach. Investigators said the men handed back a different card without the victim’s knowledge, then used the stolen card to make a purchase at GameStop and withdraw cash from an ATM.

Authorities released surveillance photos and are urging anyone who recognizes the suspects to come forward. “We are seeking the public’s help in identifying these suspects involved in the fraudulent use of a stolen debit card,” the sheriff’s office said in a statement…
