PALM BEACH & MARTIN COUNTIES, Fla. (CBS12) — Palm Beach County and Treasure Coast companies are making it a priority to hire local veterans and give them a new sense of purpose.
Florida is home to nearly 1.5 million veterans, the third largest veteran population in the country, according to the Florida Department of Veterans Affairs. The DVA also says nearly 30% of those veterans will develop mental health related issues like PTSD or trauma.
