Riviera Beach, FL – A 22-year-old Florida man, Nicolas Guy, has been arrested after allegedly kidnapping his girlfriend, beating her, and threatening to kill her and her family during a harrowing ordeal on Saturday night.

Violent Confrontation in the Parking Lot

The incident reportedly began at around 9 p.m. when the girlfriend picked up Nicolas Guy from work. They had been dating for eight months. Upon arriving at his apartment complex in Riviera Beach, Guy reportedly struck his girlfriend in the left eye with a grinder and broke several of her fingernails. As she tried to defend herself, Guy allegedly slammed her to the ground and took her vehicle keys, according to a probable cause affidavit.

Kidnapping and Further Abuse

Guy then allegedly forced his girlfriend into her car, took away her cellphone, and began driving in an unknown direction. At one point, when the victim asked to be dropped at work, Guy reportedly refused and continued to drive. Eventually, they ended up in the Malibu Bay apartment complex, about 6 miles south. There, the physical abuse escalated further as Guy allegedly began choking her in the car, demanding the code to her phone.

“I have nothing to live for, I’ll kill you right now,” Guy reportedly said, as he waved a pocketknife at her and threatened her life.

In a desperate attempt to defend herself, the victim grabbed the knife and threw it out the car window, which angered Guy even more. He allegedly struck her head against the steering wheel while continuing to threaten her with violence.

Desperate Escape and Continued Threats

After spending the night in his home, the girlfriend managed to escape the next morning. She found her house keys, left Guy’s residence, and drove to work, where she safely called 911
