Shelter in Shock As 7-Week-Old Puppy ‘Degloved’ in Horror Bike Accident

A 7-week-old puppy named Dyno is fighting for his future after suffering severe injuries in a bike accident.

The tiny Chihuahua-Weimaraner mix was surrendered to Palm Beach County Animal Care and Control where his injuries placed him at risk of euthanasia before Big Dog Ranch Rescue in Loxahatchee, Florida, stepped in.

The rescue’s team received an urgent call early in the morning about Dyno’s condition. He had been hit by a bike and suffered devastating injuries, including a compound fracture and a degloved paw.

Severely Injured

“We rescued Dyno from Palm Beach County Animal Care and Control,” Natalie Paige, director of marketing and media at Big Dog Ranch Rescue, told Newsweek. “Dyno was surrendered after being hit by a bike and severely injured. We don’t know much about the individual who brought him in, but the dog was in need of critical medical care and would have otherwise been euthanized, which is why they reached out to us.”…
