Man Suspected of Hate Crime and Aggravated Battery with a Vehicle in Coral Springs and Margate Incidents

Dylan Rogers, 23, is facing multiple charges connected to two separate road rage incidents that prosecutors have classified as hate crimes. According to Local 10, the first incident occurred on February 28 in Margate, when Rogers allegedly struck a woman with his car after she exited her vehicle. The second incident took place on August 30 outside a Costco in Coral Springs, where Rogers reportedly hit and injured a man during another confrontation.

NBC Miami reported that during the Coral Springs incident, Rogers allegedly used racial slurs against a Black couple before ramming their vehicle. Witness statements and surveillance footage supported the victims’ accounts.

Rogers was arrested shortly after both incidents. Court and inmate records show he is being held at the Broward County Main Jail without bond. His charges, which include two counts of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, have been upgraded to include a hate crime enhancement…
