Man arrested two months after alleged carjacking at Palm Beach County gas station

PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. (CBS12) — A man is behind bars after he allegedly stole a vehicle from a handicapped parking spot at a gas station nearly two months ago in unincorporated Palm Beach County.

According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office (PBSO), a deputy responded to a RaceWay gas station on August 13 after reports of a carjacking. The criminal complaint states that the 47-year-old victim had arrived at the gas station to purchase cigarettes.

The report says he parked his 2001 Chevrolet Tahoe in the parking spot near the store entrance where the suspect was standing near the store entrance. While the victim was inside the store, he saw the suspect through the window walking around his vehicle…
