Delray Beach Tommy Bahama employee accused of stealing $31K through fake refunds

DELRAY BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — A Tommy Bahama employee’s attempt to go from racks to riches was foiled Thursday after coworkers caught on to his alleged $30,000 scheme.

Officers with the Delray Beach Police Department (DBPD) say they responded to the store at the 100 block of E Atlantic Avenue in reference to theft and met with the general manager.

He stated that an employee, 23-year-old Adil Shamsud-Din, had stolen over $31,000 over the course of five months by refunding items to his card with mismatched receipt numbers, per police…
