Palm Beach Police: Man from Ecuador fought officers during traffic stop, faces deportation

A man from Ecuador whom Palm Beach Police attempted to pull over during a traffic stop fought with officers and now faces felony charges as well as deportation once his case is finished, according to court records and a police spokesperson.

The 28-year-old man whose address in jail records is listed as a home in Lake Park was arrested Oct. 26 on charges of battery on an officer, resisting an officer with violence, giving a false name to a law-enforcement officer and driving without a driver’s license, having never been issued one, court records show.
