Teen nabbed in string of Boynton Beach burglaries, guns and credit cards seized

BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — Deputies say a teen turned stolen guns and credit cards into a shopping spree, hitting multiple cars across Boynton Beach.

Burglary #1

On September 10, Boynton Beach Police officers say they responded to the 4300 block of Key Lime Boulevard after a Mercedes was reported burglarized overnight. The victim discovered his Glock pistol and wallet missing from the center console.

Surveillance footage from a nearby Walmart showed the suspect, later identified as 18-year-old Michai Berry, wearing a surgical mask and headphones while buying gift cards with the victim’s credit card.

Burglary #2

On October 15, deputies with the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office (PBSO) say Berry burglarized a car parked in a driveway on the 10600 block of St. Andrews Road, stealing a pepperball gun and multiple credit cards.

Investigators said Berry then used the stolen cards at three different stores, purchasing over $1,500 in merchandise, including a special edition PlayStation 5 from Walmart.

Burglary #3

The following day, October 16, another Boynton Beach resident returned home to find his car had been burglarized overnight, again losing firearms and personal items. Deputies say Berry took a Glock pistol and several cards, including a BJ’s card and an AARP card…
