A Central Florida woman was driving at nearly twice the posted speed limit in an April crash near Boca Raton that killed two older couples, authorities said in arresting her on Nov. 11.
Jazmin Marie Shope, 20, of Auburndale, is facing four counts of vehicular homicide in the April 21, 2025, deaths of James Lawrence Rose, 88, Arlene Rose, 87, Gerald Levy, 92, and Thelma Ilson Levy, 93, all of suburban Boca Raton.
During a court hearing on Nov. 12 at the Palm Beach County Jail, Circuit Judge Donald Hafele set Shope’s bail at $300,000 and assigned a public defender to represent her. As a policy, the county Public Defender’s Office does not comment on active cases…
