Five individuals have been arrested after a kidnapping in Florida escalated into a police pursuit across several cities.
Authorities said the incident began just before 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 15, at a McDonald’s in Davie, roughly 10 miles from Fort Lauderdale, according to reports from CBS Miami, NBC Miami, and WPLG.
Investigators said a group of suspects confronted a man inside the restaurant, took his cell phone, and demanded he get into their vehicle to retrieve it. The suspects then drove the victim — whose identity has not been released — to the 700 block of Northwest 9th Avenue in Fort Lauderdale.
