Two men in their 20s sentenced to life after West Palm drive-by shooting leaves teen dead

A judge has sentenced two men in their 20s to life in prison in the February 2022 shooting death of an 18-year-old man in suburban West Palm Beach.

Circuit Judge Howard Coates imposed the sentences on Keith Pleasant, 22, and Damonte Knight, 20, in the death of Tyquez Johnson during a hearing on Nov. 14 at the Palm Beach County Courthouse.

A jury in September convicted both Pleasant and Knight, both of Riviera Beach, of first-degree murder and attempted second-degree murder in a Feb. 23, 2022, drive-by shooting in Westgate that killed Johnson and wounded four others…
