As murder suspect bounces from hospital to jail, victim’s parents wait

Standing outside the Palm Beach County Jail courthouse annex, Jim and D.J. Wilson described the emotions of the four years that have passed since their son, Michael Lee Wilson, was found murdered in his West Palm Beach apartment.

On Nov. 14 — six days after the fourth anniversary of their son’s murder — the South Carolina couple sat in a Palm Beach County courtroom observing a hearing that could eventually determine whether the man accused of the crime will face trial.

Nikolas Lafountain, 27, is accused of killing 25-year-old Michael Lee Wilson and faces a charge of first-degree murder.
