Man arrested in DUI crash that left passenger dead on I-95 in Fort Lauderdale, troopers say

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — A 26-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a fatal crash that happened nearly six months ago on the Interstate 95 in Fort Lauderdale, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Troopers said the crash occurred on May 26 as the Audi traveled north on I-95, just south of Cypress Creek Road, when the driver, identified as Sherkann Kilano Hector, of Coconut Creek lost control and struck a guardrail.
