Man accused of fleeing law enforcement on stolen dirt bike in West Palm Beach

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — A man found himself behind bars after he allegedly tried to flee law enforcement on a dirt bike that was stolen out of North Carolina.

According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office (PBSO), a deputy observed three men riding dirt bikes near Haverhill Road, just south of Okeechobee Boulevard. Deputies say they rode in the roadway and along the sidewalk on the east side of the roadway.

Deputies continue, one of the men was riding a larger dirt bike that had camouflage fenders. Deputies observed that the dirt bike did not have a license plate, mirrors or any appropriate lights to operate legally on the roadway…
