Law-enforcement officers have detained the longtime manager of an upscale Palm Beach restaurant in an apparent immigration case. They took him and his 22-year-old nephew into custody during a Dec. 10 traffic stop in West Palm Beach.
Jose Gonzalez, a 53-year-old native of Mexico, is the popular manager at BiCE Ristorante, an Italian eatery on Worth Avenue, where he has been employed for more than 20 years.
Jose and his nephew, Jove Javier Loza Gonzalez, were arrested at about 7 a.m. Dec. 10 at the exit of Interstate 95 at Belvedere Road as they drove to replenish supplies in the younger Gonzalez’s food truck…
