New Boca Raton village project to bring nearly 800 residences, hotel, and retail spaces

BOCA RATON, Fla. (CBS12) — Nearly 800 residences, a hotel, and a mix of shops and restaurants could soon reshape Boca Raton as part of a proposed village-style development.

According to our news partners at the Sun Sentinel on Thursday, the ambitious project, University Village, aims to create a walkable community blending housing, hospitality, and retail. The project is centered between Spanish River Boulevard and Yamato Road.

The plan includes apartments, townhomes, and condominiums designed to accommodate diverse lifestyles. The Sun Sentinel reports a hotel is also part of the proposal, intended to attract visitors and complement the residential component…
