PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. (CBS12) — An edible Barbie Dreamhouse built entirely by Lake Worth High School students is doing more than turning heads, it’s raising thousands of dollars for a local nonprofit.
Students in Lake Worth High School’s Culinary Arts Choice program spent months transforming sugar, flour, and creativity into a three-foot-tall, three-foot-wide Barbie Dreamhouse that is almost entirely edible. The project began back in August, with students partnering with the Boys and Girls Club of Palm Beach County to create a one-of-a-kind centerpiece for a charitable cause.
