PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. (CBS12) — Health inspectors with the Florida Department of Business & Professional Regulation ordered two restaurants in Palm Beach County to close earlier this month after finding rodent droppings and other sanitation issues, according to our news partners at the South Florida Sun Sentinel. Both establishments reopened after follow-up inspections confirmed compliance.
Little Caesars at 1436 Lantana Road in Lantana was shut down on December 8 after inspectors reported seven violations, including four high-priority issues. According to the Florida Department of Business & Professional Regulation, more than 46 rodent droppings were discovered on a shelf under the dough prep area inside a box containing deep-dish mix and in and around boxes of deep-dish dough sheets. Droppings were also found on a prep table next to a reach-in freezer. A stop-sale order was issued for the contaminated mix and dough sheets.
