Boaters who stake their ways of life and in some cases livelihoods in the Lake Worth Lagoon are preparing for a possible legal fight with Palm Beach.
Several boat owners whose vessels are either moored or anchored in the lagoon, which is part of the Intracoastal Waterway, between Palm Beach and West Palm Beach recently told the Palm Beach Daily News that they are considering options to fight the town’s recently implemented anchoring rules.
They also said enforcement of mooring laws the town began in August as part of Palm Beach’s Lake Worth Lagoon Management Plan punishes Palm Beach County residents who otherwise might not have a place to keep their vessels…
