They say that everything is bigger in Texas, but the Lone Star State is about to lose some of its bragging rights to our beloved Sunshine State. Known for its exceptionally clean restrooms, copious gas pumps and delicious BBQ, a brand-new Buc-ee’s is coming to St. Lucie County and it’s looking to break records, according to recent reports.
That’s just north of West Palm Beach, marking the furthest south Florida location over Daytona Beach, so we’ll soon enjoy all our favorite road snacks with just a little day trip!
When is the Fort Pierce location likely to open?
Located at the Indrio Road and I-95 interchange (Exit 214), the proposed Fort Pierce store could open in late 2027 or early 2028, as reported by the Miami New Times and Sunland News. After resubmitting site plans and a building permit in November, the project is moving through final approvals.
Not only is this an exciting move for our region, but it’ll dethrone the Luling, Texas store as the world’s largest Buc-ee’s! At a whopping 76,245 square feet — roughly 650 square foot larger than the current record holder — the upcoming location will feature 120 gas pumps, over 700 parking spots and 18 electric vehicle charging stations.
Where are the other Buc-ee’s in the state located?
- Daytona Beach: 2330 Gateway N Dr, Daytona Beach, FL 32117
- St. Augustine: 200 World Commerce Pkwy, St. Augustine, FL 32092
There are other plans for more Florida openings, including Ocala, which is slated to open in 2028, and Tallahassee as a potential fifth site. Though nothing is set in stone quite yet…
