Galaxy Elementary School teacher LaWanna Jackson was named Palm Beach County School District teacher of the year on Jan. 29 as the district also announced its top principal, assistant principal and school-related employee during a program at the Center for Public School Excellence and Innovation in Lake Worth Beach.
