ROYAL PALM BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — A man is accused of placing a tracking device on his ex-girlfriend’s car and stalking her for months back in September of 2025.
According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office (PBSO), in September, 2025, an investigator responded to the victim’s home regarding a tracking device on her vehicle. The victim told investigators she found the tracking device on the hitch receiver of her vehicle, an arrest report says.
The arrest report states the tracker appeared active, indicated by a green light. The victim told investigators she ended her relationship with her ex-boyfriend, James Hayes, in August 2025 and reported several incidents that raised concerns he may have been stalking her, the criminal complaint says…
