WEST PALM BEACH, Fla (CBS12) — As the nation marks eight years since the Parkland school shooting this weekend, the parents of Joaquin “Guac” Oliver are using AI to ensure their son’s voice continues to push for change.
Manuel Oliver appeared on CBS12 News at 3 p.m. Friday to discuss a new weekly podcast, “Guac’s Going On,” which will be hosted by an AI-generated version of his late son. The project draws from Joaquin’s social media posts, ideas, and personal values to recreate his voice and persona.
