PEMBROKE PARK, Fla. — Cherie Wachter said “Coco” is among the dogs that need a loving home on Valentine’s Day during the annual “Adopt A Sweetheart” event in Broward County.
Wachter, a spokeswoman for the Humane Society of Broward County, said the sweet, gentle, and calm female beagle mix only weighs about 27 pounds.
“She came to us from a shelter in a rural area of Florida where not a lot of people go to adopt,” Wachter said. “She is getting her second chance here in South Florida.”…
