New noise crackdown means $250 fines for American homeowners during ‘active’ hours

A CRACKDOWN on noise will mean a $250 fine for loud households.

Strict noise regulations in Florida will see specific decibel limits brought in, depending on the time of day and location.

The proposal would create “active hours” and “quiet hours”. Active hours will run from 7am to 10pm, or until 1am in areas with entertainment businesses on weekends.
