DELRAY BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — What may look like an ordinary rock pile at Anchor Park in Delray Beach is turning into a hotspot for shell-seeking treasure hunters.
According to CBS12 partners at the South Florida Sun-Sentinel, the rock pile was dumped at the park after heavy equipment lifted it from a nearby beach as part of a renourishment project.
Since it opened on February 6, dozens of people have been flocking to the rock pile each day and spending hours sifting for intact shells that catch their eye…
