Brightline Train Horror on Dixie Highway Shocks Hallandale Beach

A pedestrian was struck and killed by a Brightline train Monday along North Dixie Highway in Hallandale Beach, according to authorities. The person was pronounced dead at the scene, and emergency crews stayed on site as investigators worked the tracks. Officials have not yet released the victim’s identity.

Investigators said the train’s conductor sounded the horn before the impact, according to CBS News Miami. Detectives are continuing to examine the scene and the circumstances surrounding the collision.
