Delray Beach may get new Pride memorial after rainbow intersection removed

DELRAY BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — Delray Beach could soon see a permanent Pride memorial months after the city’s rainbow intersection mural was removed.

The Delray Beach Pride Memorial Committee has proposed building an illuminated rainbow pyramid monument near Old School Square, close to where the Pride intersection once stood. The 8-foot-tall, 4.5-foot-wide structure would feature etched descriptions explaining its symbolism and would light up at night.
