Dr. Karen Diaz Meaike is welcoming clients to Blushington Boca Raton, the brand’s first franchise location. A longtime customer, she is thrilled to bring a business she truly loves to her community and share Blushington’s beauty services and inclusive culture. “I just don’t want us to just be another business in the community. The community is our business,” she says.
Founded in 2011 by sisters Stephi Cohen and Nicki Maron, New York City-based Blushington was created to make upscale beauty services more accessible and help clients feel confident. Services include blowouts, makeup applications, skincare and retail products under one roof.
Blushington’s mission and values played a big role in Diaz Meaike’s decision to go from client to franchise owner. “It’s what attracted me to it in the first place,” she says. “I am strongly connected to what the brand stands for and am proud to now be part of its growth.”
The Franchise Journey
After years as a loyal, enthusiastic customer, Diaz Meaike jumped at the opportunity when Blushington began offering franchise opportunities. It was the right time for her to start something new, and she began her ownership journey in 2024. She knew there would be challenges as the first franchisee, but she also felt supported every step of the way. “This is not for the faint of heart by any means. It’s been quite a journey,” she says. “But I’ve also had the benefits of being a franchisee. They’ve walked this walk ahead of me.”…
