Man accused of punching 68-year-old, kicking dog in Gulf Stream beach access clash

GULF STREAM, Fla. (CBS12) — A beachfront dispute over “residents only” stairs turned violent when a man allegedly punched a 68-year-old and kicked the couple’s dog.

According to officers with the Gulf Stream Police, a couple was walking their two dogs on the beach around 8 a.m. on Sunday when they attempted to leave the beach using a private access stairway near the 4000 block of North Ocean Boulevard, when they were blocked by Mika Michaels, 51.

Michaels reportedly told the couple they were not allowed to use the stairs, saying they were for residents only, per the criminal probable cause affidavit…
