Parkland Man Accused of Wielding Machete, Trying to Run Over Former Employee

A Parkland man is facing aggravated assault charges after deputies say he threatened a former employee with a machete and then attempted to run him over with a van during a violent dispute.

According to a Broward County Sheriff’s Office arrest report, John Michael Camiolo, 46, was arrested on March 19 following an altercation that took place near Northwest 70th Court.

According to investigators, deputies received a 911 call claiming Camiolo and a former employee. The victim told authorities that Camiolo drove up close to his parked vehicle, pointed a flashlight in his face, and began hurling insults, before eventually, the men pushed each other…
