A Pompano Beach man faces capital murder charges in connection with a deadly robbery that left one man dead and another wounded in Lake Worth in September 2024.
Rodney Augustin, 25, was arrested Tuesday on charges of first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit robbery with a firearm in the killing of Marco Escobar, 58, according to a Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office arrest affidavit.
The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office responded to the shooting shortly before 10 p.m. at a residence in Lake Worth that investigators later determined was operating as a brothel.
