Delta flight diverted back to Fort Lauderdale airport after landing gear issue

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — A Delta Airlines flight bound for Boston, Massachusets, was diverted back to Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport on Saturday after experiencing a mechanical issue with its landing gear, authorities said.

Flight DL555 landed without incident, and video obtained by Local 10 News captured the plane arriving back at FLL.

“Plane is still circling and dumping fuel. Incident involved a mechanical issue with the aircraft’s landing gear. No other information is available at this time,” the Broward Sheriff’s Office wrote in a statement to Local 10 News…
