Palm Beach to weigh extending temporary construction, lawn-work hours

To help ease traffic and congestion in Palm Beach, the Town Council is expected to consider extending temporarily expanded construction and lawn-maintenance hours.

During their regular meeting April 14 at Town Hall, council members will review a resolution to continue the schedule first approved in November to reduce traffic impacts from contractors traveling to and from the town in what has been dubbed by some residents as “the trade parade.”

The November resolution was adopted after officials determined that traffic and congestion within the town had become “highly problematic” and was adversely affecting public health, safety, and welfare, Wayne Bergman, the town’s planning, zoning and building director, said in an April 6 memo to council members…
