BOCA RATON, Fla. (CBS12) — Boca Bash is back and so are the crowds. Thousands of boaters packed Lake Boca Raton Sunday as one of South Florida’s largest unsanctioned water events returned in full swing. From the Boca Inlet, anchored and slow moving boats packed the water, as music blasted and partygoers gathered for a day of fun on the water.
Along with the party came a significant law enforcement presence, something officials say is necessary given past incidents linked to large, unofficial events.
“It’s the biggest event of the year for Boca Lake,” said CJ Thomas, a Deerfield Beach resident who has attended Boca Bash multiple times.
