Gas prices have dipped by double digits across South Florida ahead of Memorial Day travel next weekend.
As of Monday, May 18, prices in the state are down nearly 20 cents a gallon from a week ago. But that’s still significantly higher than last year, and prices could rise.
“Memorial Day travelers will pay about $17 more than last year to fill an average sized tank of gas,” said Mark Jenkins, spokesman for AAA – The Auto Club Group. “Global supply concerns regarding the conflict with Iran has kept upward pressure on fuel prices.
